If a cruise departs scheduled in 9 days or less, and the passenger cancels while holding a protection plan, they will receive cruise credit instead of a monetary refund to their bank account. 

Note: Even though you bought a protection plan, you will still have to pay the cancelation administrative fee of $250. This fee is unavoidable under any circumstances and must be paid by the passenger upon cancelation.
